August 2009
A week ago, I had the privilege of visiting Danielle, one of my friends, in California. During my visit to CA, I saw the General Grant Tree which is the largest Sequoia in Yosemite National Park. It would take 20 people holding hands to wrap around the base of the tree. It is the third largest tree in the world!!
Also that week, we stuck our toes in the chilly waters of the Pacific and relaxed under the stars at Lookout Rock.
I was reminded of the power and majesty of the mighy God that I serve. The earth truely is filled with His glory!! I like God's response to Job when He said, "Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth?" Job 38:4. It was at moments like these when I was gazing up the 267 ft. General Grant tree or the color arrayed sky as the sun set on the beach when I realized what a small glimpse of beauty the Lord has given us here on earth. In heaven we will have the privilege of worshiping the Creator and see Him in all His beauty.
With my own camera I took pictures of the Half Dome. Ansel Adams took one of my favorite pictures of Half Dome. I was in awe at the privilege I had to capture such a sight on my own digital camera.
