“God put me in this cabin for a very important reason!” Sarah
Eight girls filled my cabin this first official week of camp! Each girl had a different background, personality, interests, struggles, and needs. My prayer at the beginning of the week was that God would unify our cabin. Each day He answered my prayer. Through Scripture memory, games, and services, the Lord began to do a great work in the hearts of my campers. One of my campers is going to be a doctor. This week she surrendered to be a doctor on the mission field. Bailey, another camper, said, “If God asked me what I liked most about the camp, I would say that I learned a lot about Jesus Christ.”
SOLD OUT
I am on the GREEN team this summer. Our motto is just two words – SOLD OUT! In everything we do, as a team we desire to be sold out for Christ in giving all of our energy, time, and strength to serve others for Jesus Christ. I thank you for your continued prayer that I would be transparent with my girls, willing to serve them completely, and humbly dependent on my Savior every moment of the day. I know that every girl that walks in the door of my cabin has been specifically placed in my cabin. Continuing to thank the Lord in advance for His great work!
Fun tid-bits:
- This week for the first time I went on the giant swing!
- Goal for next week: eat a chocolate covered bug!
