Answered Prayer
Thank you for praying for safety. We had three bee stings this week, but no serious reactions. At the times of the sting, we were on a hike and quite a distance from medical assistance. God has protected us! Also, two more girls in my cabin were saved this week! God has prepared their heart and opened their eyes to see their need for Him. Secondly, since I signed up for camp I have been praying that I could hear Pastor Jim Schettler preach at teen camp. He is coming this week, and I will be able to here him in person! Finally, while I have been here learning and growing at camp, my parents have been on a search for a car. This will be my mode of transportation for this upcoming school year. God has provided a Honda Civic with low mileage and at a good price for me to purchase! I wanted to praise my Savior for His answered promises!
Sharing Your Testimony
“I am going to give you an opportunity to share your testimony.” I said to the girls in my cabin. “What is your testimony?” asked my little Junior Boot Camper. I then explained that your testimony is the story of how you were saved. Jewell then announces from her top bunk, “What happens if I don’t know if I am saved?” I turned to her and said, “Then I would love to talk with you.” By this time it was after lights out, but we went into the hall to talk. I showed her Acts 16:31 and asked a few question to make sure she had a clear understanding of what Jesus did for her. She was saved and then asked me, “Would you write down the reference to that verse and how you can be saved? When I get home I want to tell my mom how to be saved.” What a privilege to witness a ready soul waiting to know the truth! Keep sharing God’s wonderful and life changing gift with the lost.
