Less Than Two Months
With less than two months until take off, my anticipation for this summer’s missions trip is mounting. I am praying that the Lord will begin to prepare me now for the challenges and opportunities ahead. My prayer is that God will give me boldness and wisdom to share His love and salvation message with the people of El Salvador and Guyana. Yet, this trip is also an opportunity for me to ask many questions and gain as much knowledge of the missions field as I can in order to prepare for my future ministry.
Thank You – My Support is 71%

Bruised Reed & Smoking Flax
Here at school we just finished our Bible Conference. It was wonderful to have my parents and grandma here to visit during our break. During one particular message, our guest speaker Dr. Johnny Pope, encouraged us from Matthew 12:18a, 20a. God described Jesus saying, “Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon Him…a bruised reed shall He not break, and smoking flax shall He not quench.” One of the habits of a shepherd is to skillfully carve a flute using a reed in the water. Then he uses that flute to call his sheep. In his home, he burns flax to provide light. Dr. Pope explained that if either the reed was bruised or the flax began to smoke it was unusable for the shepherd and would be discarded. Thankfully, for us as Christians, our Good Shepherd does not discard a life that has been marred by sin, but instead He picks up the pieces and makes a beautiful new vessel to glorify Him. That is the message I cannot wait to share with the people of El Salvador and Guyana. Many of their lives have been broken but we have the answer in Jesus Christ. What an exciting opportunity I have to tell the lost about our Good Shepherd who gave His life for you and me.
Please Continue to Pray!
I look forward to sending you another update soon to share what the Lord is teaching me. Walk with our Savior today and share His love!
